A Data-Centric Approach to Governance
Yesterday, GovCon Wire published an article underlining the data principles that should be embraced in Federal micropurchase processes. In the piece, Tableau’s Steve Spano was quoted stating, “agencies should shift from spreadsheet-centric reporting towards adopting an analytics platform that could enable them to analyze data from disparate sources.”
We agree! Paperless Innovations collects disparate data from “Trusted Sources of Truth” throughout our agile application to convert PDF approval processes, P.O’s, P-Card purchase logs, Vendor invoices, Spreadsheets and Bank statements into validated data-centric infrastructure. Our microservices currently employ machine learning, robotic processes, and artificial intelligence on this new P-Card data infrastructure enabling accountability, compliance and transparency on every item purchased with taxpayer funds.
We should look into the inclusion of P-Card data validation for direct entry into FPDS as a Cross-Agency Priority Goal. Agencies deserve credit for every dollar spent in support of socio-economic goals. P-Card programs need not be defined by imperfect data standards and a lack of transparency!
In the article, Spano further noted the misconception that “agencies tend to believe is that they need a team of specialized data scientists and other data personnel to process large sets of data.”
Today’s highly intuitive microservices designed with agile architectures alleviate the need for specialized training, the development of data-driven cultural workforces and the need for friction causing change management processes.
Workforce automations, reporting, analytics and audit are revolutionized with Actus’ microservice approach to better P-Card management and oversight.
